Back from the doctors...more tests
Hi everyone -
I saw the GP today for both follow up and to ask about new symptoms. She is such a love - listens to everything I say, is so thorough..I told her about leg pain/weakness, the horriblw pain in my side and back that has been here now for over 2 weeks (it waxes and wanes) and showed her the swollen lymph nodes in groin and armpit (and symptoms of bad night sweats. low grade fever, etc). So, to cover everything she oredered CT Scan on lungs, abdomen area and pelvic area. She is not sure if the pain in my side is my belly (from prednisone and anti-inflammatories), or poss kidney problem from lupus or maybe even my lung on that side (pleurisy from lupus). Also, she wants to check for infection in any of these places that could be causing the lymph node thing.
I gotta say, I wasnt TOO thrilled with the look on her face when she felt the node on the groin. Kind of like that "Eeeks!" look. It is pretty big and its never been there before so...Probably ALL lupus things...that stupid disease can really affect ANY part of the body, you know?
So, I just thought I would touch base. I will call in the AM to schedule CT scan. They will probably do it Friday, as they are pretty fast booking appts.

Sounds like you have a really great dr, that is wonderful. Doesn't it make you feel weird when the dr gives you that look....makes you want to say...okay now....stop that!!
Hope all the tests go quickly and you can find out what is going on.
