Seeing a Neurologist for Possible MS

I'm seeing a neurologist next Monday for possible MS. I've had chronic arm pain for years, parasthesias, and more recently problems with my legs, including lack of balance, and with my eyes, including burred vision and a washed-out look to colors. I've already seen a rheumatologist, who ruled out autoimmune disorders like lupus, and two physiatrists, who ruled out problems with the spine and extremities (i.e.: EMG/NCV of peripheral nerves were normal). I'm hoping to not be diagnosed with MS, of course, but am concerned that I may be.
Is there anything anyone here would suggest I do beforehand to get the most out of my appointment.

Welcome to the MS Forum.  You might want to put together a "Timeline."   There is a Heath Page for that at:  http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/Multiple-Sclerosis/The-Importance-of-the-Timeline/show/765?cid=36

Most of us avoid saying anything about researching anything online or anything like that.  It is usually best to try to develop a relationship with the doctor.  Having the time line of symptoms and doctors you have seen and what they ruled out may help.

Hi Narble,

I just wanted to add my welcome . Bob's tips on the timeline and not revealing that you've been researching online are excellent. The Health Pages on the forum are located in the upper right hand corner next to the yellow icon. These include a wealth of information on a variety of subjects including the page regarding the timelime.

Welcome and please feel free to ask about anything you don't understand and we will do our best to answer it.

Thanks for the idea to create a "timeline" and the link to your examples.
