OT-vent/share

Wow, what a difference a day can make or so they say.  Was supposed to be on my way to DC tomorrow for long overdue visit with son on the way to summer in the woods but this little chick overdid it in the STRESS calendar and forgot her age, sigh.

As you may remember, I had no choice but to sign up for the free? pacemaker battery replacement class and not to mention the 3 day flare that gave me, then rushed to get packed and pacemaker check before leaving to see neuro/head for the woods, coming down with rash from the cleansing liquid they used, then got to neuro, had a brief 2 day flare, felt better, saw him, productive visit, and left to visit friends in TN areas on way to visit son.

Got ahold of some bad coffee at golden arches (I can't ingest chlorine/chlorinated water) but weathered thru that and got to 2nd TN destination on Thursday last and just now able to function.  Talk about a flare I never want to repeat......doc put me on steroids for a week and doubled my spasm medication and added an upper (If I didn't need one before, I did now!) and finally was able to walk length of house today.  Spasms up and down my back, stomach, throat, it was not fun.

So I truly now believe that stress can trigger things.  I have had to cancel my trip to the woods for the summer and will be rather bummed but returning to AR to sulk indoors and thank goodness for cooling jackets.....kind friends here have loaned me their dwelling while they are on vacation so I am not stressed (I don't like that word anymore) over leaving too soon.

Just ranting, just had to......Sarah going back to bed and trying not to overdo it........

Thanks Sierra, Dennis and JJ.  appreicate the pick me ups.

I can report I can make it to the other end of this seemingly long and large house without my cane if I go slowly.  Progress for me.  I am trying to work back up to my neurontin dose as the leg spasms are keeping me up at night.  I had forgotten how bad they were.

I did win the battle finally on how to keep from getting those 600mg "hockey puck" neurontin pills.......will PM anyone interested, wouldn't want to advertise that too loudly!  I wonder if part of my stomach spasms were rebellion to those pucks!  It is so sensitive now, even with the Bentyl quieting it down, that I have to be out of the room if someone is cooking.

Thanks again guys, you brought smiles to my face........my child is back stateside, safe and sound, and hopefully can converse with him tomorrow and maybe a new game plan.

Aw, Sarah, I'm so sorry to hear that.

How frustrating! Hoping there is some silver lining for you in all of this. :(

Hope you feel better quickly. I know how much you had been looking forward to summer up north. Sorry to hear that is off.

Take care,

Dennis
