Wow. I came into this late but that is so scary. I'm glad he is doing well now and hope you can get some downtime away from worry.

How scary for both of you. So happy to hear he is doing well. This will excuse him from his "honey do's" for awhile :) I hope the two of you rest up and enjoy each other.

Everything has been said. I will add my prayers to theirs.
HUGS,

We will continue to pray that from this day forward, this will be a week of rest for you and your husband, and that the excitement of the past few days will only serve to make you appreciate it, and each other, so much more.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. Take care of yourself too, so you can take care of him.

So we can breath now.. and most of all you can huh? Now we will have you in our prayers for minimal damage... My brother is on his 3rd blockage and heart attack at 47yrs, runs in the family, it is so very hard and tiring.
You know they say all's well that ends well. The second cath took care of the blockage - which was the one the cardio looked at last night and didn't want to touch, but that's a totally different rant that I will save for my heartsisters at inspire. There are the same frustrations with cardios as there are with neuros ...
Sometime between the 1st and 2nd cath there was an elevation of tropinine, the cardiac enzyme that indicates a heart attack. So now we have to wait and see what damage is done. Here's hoping it is minimal.
Thank you one and all for all the kind thoughts, prayers, and pm's with notes of encouragement.
DH will either come home tomorrow or Wednesday.
Thanks again everyone,
Laura
Lulu, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband. I hope he feels better soon, and I hope you both can soon get the rest you need.
Kelly

Thankfully the radiologist found the blockage. I hope that when they get the stent and balloon procedure done, that your husband will start feeling better. It is also good news that they don't have to do open heart surgery. Thanks so much for keeping us updated.
How are you managing?
-Julie
I just read your post. I am praying for you and your husband. I pray that the procedure is successful. God bless you both!

here's the message I just sent to my family - I'm posting it here so you have an update. thanks for all the kind thoughts - he and I both appreciate it. I'm off again for another day of hospital sitting.....
I came home from the hospital last night thinking all was under control until Monday! I didn't get to stay at home for long last night - John was in quite a bit of pain when I talked to him so I headed back there. By the time I got back they had decided to do an emergency cath - then another emergency took priority over him. It was 2:30 AM by the time they were done - I was home at 3. Asleep by 3:01 I believe. The cardiologist last night could not find anything wrong - no explanation for the pain.
THEN overnight the radiologists read the films and discovered his blockage at the rear of the heart - completely blocked. They let him eat breakfast this morning before anyone told him he was heading back to the cath lab. I talked to him about an hour ago and he is going back in for a balloon angioplasty and stent at 1 pm or so. So I'm still on the merry-go-round. At least now they know the source of the pain ---- he was pretty miserable with the constriction.
I'm so sorry to hear about your husband. I hope everything goes well.

if you read this before you go, take my cell phone number with you.
Sorry to hear of your husband's troubles. I hope he begins to feel better soon. Good thoughts and prayers being sent your way that he doesn't need anything more than a cardiac cath to diagnosis and remedy the problem.
