Muscle spasm therapies

I have had increasing issues with muscle spasms, particularly at night. I am on a pretty high regimen of drugs but was wondering if I could get feedback from the community on what you take for your muscle spasms and the doses as well ,since my neuro and I  are exploring new combinations to solve this issue so I can get some rest at night. Beside the drug regimen, I also stretch just before bedtime as well as throughout the day.

Thank you for any and all feed back on this issue!!!

Corrie,
Thank you for the insight! I am doing resistance bands and other stretches as well as Pilates. Perhaps a little weight bearing/training with small weights might be beneficial. I'm game for anything at this point!

Best,
Ren

Hi Ren! I only have spasticity without spasms but I recently saw an OT who mentioned that with stretching I should be doing weight bearing and strengthening exercises.

She said that because my biceps were so tight that it was weakening my triceps. I wonder if that sort of thing can lead to spasms and if that sort of exercise plan could work for you.

I am sorry I couldn't be of more help. I hope it gets resolved for you soon!

Corrie
