I'm having it's an all about me week. Neuro appt was
last week and that very well. This week  Im changing my hair color back to what it was before my dx, I'm thinking about getting braces so a trip to tho ortho and on Saturday I am being confirmed at the Easter vigil.

Back story reg my hair. After they told me I had ms I took lorazipm and decided to get my hair done. My husband dropped me off and told me don't do anything drastic.  Well when I was done my hair was almost black I had bangs and wine color highlites.  It was a what was I thinking moment. I blame it on the depression, which I have since got a handle on.

I hope everyone has a good week

I hope to paint a lot.

Train Puppy he got his state certification in the mail for Service Dog in training. That was after he chewed up my cellphone earlier that day.

I hope everyone has an okay week.

Have not started Copaxone(sp) yet.  Do not know how to do it.  I start solumedrol infusions tomorrow.  It's becoming easier.  I can now give myself permission to sit down when I'm tired and I tire easily.  So having positive knowledge of what is wrong helps.  My writing goes beautifully with DNS (Dragon NaturallySpeaking) and I am happy for the first time in months.  Go figure....

I am sooooo excited.Today I am 48 (not so great!) but have had a spoiling relaxing day so far.
Already been today for a lung function test for trial, tomorrow for an eye hospital appointment and Wednesday for consultant appointment.

Then I am flying off to Sydney for three whole weeks so you will not hear from me for a while.
I am going with my parents leaving my hubbie behind in charge of kids and dogs. Bit nervous about flying that distance but overwhelming feeling is excitement at seeing my brother, his wife and their three small kids who I have not seen for 2 years. They are aged 6, 4 and 2.

So a fond farewell from me and see you in about a month

Much love

Sarah xxx

I'll be prepping for Easter toward end of week. Tomorrow is my daughters behind the wheel test - oy. Oh how I dislike this part of being a parent. But, will be 2 lic. down, one to go!
Other than that, work and house (which I'd take all day everyday over leaving the house, lol), duties.

-Happy Birthday, Sarah, and safe travels!

-Crwriter - wishing you more, and continued happy!

-Pfus - congrats on your confirmation!

-Alex - the cell! Oh no! Can't be that cutsie-cute in the pic! He'd not do anything like that!

Wishing you all a Happy Week,

LuLu...that massage sounds nice. I think I could use one of those.

Not a whole lot for me this week. More work and take care of my 4 little ones.

On Wednesday I have 3 appointments scheduled: One for px therapy for lower back pain. Then a follow-up appt. with the pain specialist and then px therapy for vestibular balance or whatever it's called....it's not helping.

One day at a time!

Take care everyone and as always THANK YOU for always being here! It's nice to know I have a place to come for questions and understanding.

Trying to get as much yard work under my belt as I can before the hot weather hits. Unfortunately, planted a lot of beautiful flowers last week only to have them hit with about 20 minutes of hail about 3 days after putting them in.

Went to a SS presentation by a well known area neurologist.  Still processing.  What I found most interesting was the other MS'rs there. Out of 14 or so of us, only 3 men and 2 of them those men in wheelchairs. One woman using a cane and the rest of us walked w/o any assistance.

I sat next to one of the men in a wheelchair. He was dx about 30 yrs ago. He was telling me about when dmd's first came out and it was administered via lottery.  He strongly suggested to everyone at the luncheon that we join some sort of MS support group (face to face) to learn to live with our disease. Honestly, I am kind of pissed these days about having MS and don't have an interest in going to a support group.

I have a follow up appt with my neurologist on Thursday.  I saw him two months after dx.  This appt is 6 months after that appt, so this appt is 8 months after dx. Not sure what to expect and mentally it feels like I am definately in a different place than the last time I saw him.

Getting ready for the last tournament of the season for my kids and since they have decided to stop with club sports, this weekend will be their swan song.

Other than that, I have various appts with contractors this week for house stuff. Starting to feel like this place is our own.

Tracey, was thinking of trying to color my hair.  Just a few too many grays these days. Geez, it's crazy what stress does to your hair color!
Alex, don't you just love puppies?!  They make life so interesting.
Shell, my kids got their licences a couple months ago. That lic changes everything!!

Today went to the doctor got referred to PT for my back. Been bothering me since the accident. Not thinking it is MS related but doc said the stress from the accident can cause the tightness that won't go away. All I care about is to make the pain better.

Tomorrow I have my grandson, he may sleep over since I moved further away. But he is always a joy to have around. Also calling to set up the PT,

Wednesday I have school. Barely getting through this quarter, it has been a struggle, but summer is right around the corner and I need the break. Hopefully by then I will have my wits about me again.

Thursday have my grandson again. Need to call the dentist too. My jaw is hurting like heck so thinking I have a bad tooth. We will see.

Friday, school again.

Sunday having a family get together for Easter.

Yesterday had my long awaited neuro appt to discuss disability for my MS. It didn't go so well. In fact, by the end of it, he said after my next MRI, if he doesn't see any more progression on my MRIs (ie more lesions gone wild in my brain), he's probably going to stop my Copaxone that I just started last Sept. Nevermind, that my last t-spine MRI was a year never ordered a t-spine MRI for me when I switched over to him.  Also, he never offered anything to help tame this AWFUL fatigue that I have. :-(  (I'm pretty sick & disappointed with doctors - no offense to any on here that are doctors)

Try to work Tues (today) - Wed.

Off Thursday

Friday - my younger brother is taking me on a 2 1/2 - 3 hr (one-way) drive to talk to a free attorney about disability.

Sat - try to get enough energy to go to the Denver Aquarium and then out to eat with my partner and her family for lunch.

I hope everyone has a good week. Happy birthday Sarah.

-Kelly

I meant to say my last t-spine MRI was a year and a half ago. I don't know what happened to that sentence.
