New symptoms (flushing and facial twitches)

I am seeing a new neurologist, and really like her.  I still have no diagnosis yet, though.  Over the past few weeks I have been having a lot of flushing on my face and neck.  I don't really feel hot, but I can feel the flushing.  People comment on how red my face is.  I had a hormone level blood draw thinking I was having hot flashes (I had a hysterectomy last year), but it showed that I am not starting menopause.
I have also been having a lot of twitching in my upper lip.  It lasts anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes, but is always in the same spot, and it happens several times a day.
I am not currently having any numbness or dizzy spells, or fatigue like I had in the past, but I'm wondering if the new symptoms are indicative of the start of another 'episode'.(?????)
Has anyone else had these symptoms?

The twitching is normal! It can be caused because of stress, inactivity or overactivity, hyperventilation or hypoventilation, and not enough sleep. You may be flushing because of stress also. It may seem complicated but just get some sleep. Neurologists aren't going to go in-depth with your muscular symptoms. Flushing, well, if not stress, try drinking more water.

Fasciculations of your upper lip may be related to your electrolytes rather than some other condition. As far as your facial and neck flushing, there could be a  variety of causes, for example, medications or alcohol intake.

If this is a concern for you, I would place a call to your doctor on Monday and speak to him/her about it and see if they want to do any lab work or for them to see you.  This way, you can allay your anxiety by talking to the right person that can do something about it.

I am glad to hear you like your new neurologist!  The other dismissive one belongs in the trail of our dust :D
