for quix

hi  quix my name is mary i live in vancouver bc.i just have a couple of questions in 2006 i had ms symptoms but at the same time i had a pituitary tumour my dr. i had at the time never did an mri at the time because he was more concerned with my pituitary tumour to be operated on. so i only had mri,s focused on the pituitary instead of the whole thing.Although one of the mri reports for the pitutary mentioned that i had a subtle t1 w enhancing ovoid focus 6mm in size. this may be an artifactbut i cannot rule out the possibility of an enhancing lesion.a similar findingis identified immediately adjacent inferior to this6mm in size. two ill defined areas of t1w gadolinium enhancement are identified within the inferior pons.then the radioligist goes on to say that follow up can be performed if indicated. now here is my question is it possible in this area that these are that they may be ms lesions? my symptoms went away after a time but was left with nerve pain that flares down the right thigh. now in 2009 i am having another flareup of symptoms i am having tremor headaches leg numbness that feels like a tightening, twitches spasms, my eyes feel like they flutter when i read blurred vision.leg weakness the right side of my face began to tingle and goes numb vertigo and extreme fatigue i start out in the morning not so bad but be 2 pm i have to lay down its as if i cant think anymore because of the fatigue and balance problems. i had my pituitary tumour surgically removed in early 2007 but i have had these new symptoms for about 5 weeks.i am getting frustrated because i just want to be my old self and go back to work i forgot to say that my legs give out when i walk 1 at a time feels like it buckles at the knee    i have been tested for low b12 as that is what one er dr. thought but it has come back fine i am awaiting a neuro appt but i hope it will not be to long just would like treatment as i think the fatigue is the worst of my symptoms would appreciate your advice thankyou

Hi Mary M,

I'm not Quix, but hope you don't mind me jumping in to say hello.

Since you will be lined up with a neuro, I suggest getting a timeline in order.  Something lists whats gone on so far.  If you visit our health pages you will see how to prepare it, but I pulled out some of what you mention if you want to start one:

2006 (ms symptoms) - describe the physical symptoms w/out mentioning disease
MRI of pituitary - pituitary tumour
-reports mentioned subtle t1 w enhancing ovoid focus 6mm in size. Interp: this may
be an artifact but cannot rule out the possibility of an enhancing lesion. Similar
finding is identified immediately adjacent inferior to this 6mm in size. Two ill defined
areas of t1w gadolinium enhancement are identified within the inferior pons.  Follow
      up indicated.
2007
-pituitary tumor symptoms went away (can say what they were and when i.e., after operation approx. date, etc.)

Current symptoms - past 5 weeks
- nerve pain that flares down the right thigh
- tremor headaches,
- leg numbness that feels like a tightening, twitches spasms
- eyes feel like they flutter when i read blurred vision
- leg weakness (legs have given out when walk - buckles at knee)
- the right side of my face began to tingle and goes numb
- vertigo
-extreme fatigue (i.e, start out in the morning not so bad but be 2 pm i have to lay down its as if i cant think anymore because of the fatigue and balance problems)

Thanks for joining us. Hope you get to feeling better soon and that this helps.
