Weakness in eyes and cloudy vision?

I have been having quite a few health issues over the last few years and for some reason or another continued to put them off. One of my problems was cloudy vision that would come and go periodically. I have had lazer correction surgery on my eyes three years ago and no problems seeing except for this that started about 6 months ago. I went to see an Opthamologist about 2 weeks ago. I have been on Topamax for 4 years for my migraines. The Opthamologist said that I have a muscle weakness problem and need to have an MRI. I went back a week later and she did other tests on my eyes which showed that I see different colors in each eye. She asked me about seeing halos and lights and I told her that I did and that it was from the lazer surgery (I thought that the lazer had burnt the irisis of my eyes and that was the reason for seeing the lights). She informed me that that was not the reason I was seeing lights and that it was something to do with my brain. I am scheduled for an MRI tomorrow. I had an episode last month with chest pain and numbness in my left arm. My neck and the back of my head hurt, so of course I thought I was having a heart attack. I wasn't, but now I am concerned about what this MRI is going to show. Any ideas? MS runs in the family and I have heard that some of these things that I have always just dealt with and never complained about are symptoms. Can anyone tell me if this vision thing is a symptom or not?

Thank you for the link. It was dead on, especially about the blurry vision. I just don't understand how this works. It is getting to where I can't hardly read or work at my computer. Did yours last for very long? Had my MRI today, so hopefully I will know something soon.

Optic neuritis is a common symptom of MS - 30 to 70% of MS patients have it at least once.

Check out this link - it's the best description of ON that I've found.

Color change is part of ON.  Typically colors are faded in the affected eye, especially reds.  When my eyes are acting up, the eye that is affected sees red as orange - while the other eye sees colors as especially bright.
