EEG and VER Done Today

I would rather have stayed in bed and slept! But I begged my body to cooperate and wake the muscles up and get going! This fatigue is pitiful!

I took a tiny nap during the EEG.....that is until the flashing lights came on! How rude! Ah,testing!

But the VER was the WORST!!! OMG! I wanted to close my eyes so bad! Focusing on that little green light in the red checkered pane was a PAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I felt like that little face with the google eyes!!!

I called neuro's office to see if they might have the results from the lumbar spinal MRI I had this past Friday. I didn't get to talk to the nurse, but left a msg with the receptionist. She said I'd get a call by the end of the week. ( that long?!) I asked about getting records of my tests. They fax them them.Ok.I can do that.

Oh no.  Sorry to hear about the L-5 but its good to get it done now rather than later.  The pain has o be wicked right now for you.  Here's hoping you can get the surgery soon.

The EEG and VER surprisingly turned out normal! I did tell the nurse how much the VER hurt my eyes!

What I DID NOT expect is what happened! I've been so absolutely fatigued and in pain that I almost forgot about the spinal (lumbar) MRI that was taken last week! I've mentioned this before;I was diagnosed with lumbar spinal stenosis in '06.I put the surgery off~but it has finally caught up with me!

At L-5 my spinal canal has narrowed to 6 milimeters thick.Normally surgery is done atleast by the time it reaches 7! The EMG has been moved up from June 17th to the 8th.I'll be set up with the neurosurgeon soon.

That stinks about the wait. Will you get the chance to go over the results with your doctor? I know a lot of that information would be Greek to me on paper!

Just wanted to say that you rock for getting up and getting the testing done. I don't doubt that it was really difficult! But it's so proactive to get these things done. Hopefully it will give you some useful information.
