White spots on brain

FWS
My doctor scheduled an MRI after I stopped talking to him while in conversation and asked him what I was talking about.  I went to see him for nonstop buzzing in my ears for the last 2 weeks.  I had the MRI and have looked at the CD and I see a few white spots on the brain on the sides top and back of head.  My next appointment with the doctor is this Friday.  Are white spots on the brain really serious?  I'm not really worried but my wife is.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

If you have the CD, do you also have the paper report done by the MRI radiologist? It would be interesting to know what the radiologist saw. You are entitled to this report, so make sure you get it.

Then make sure that your neuro looks at the MRI CD him or herself. Good neuros know how to do this---lazy or incompetent ones don't.

We cannot possibly tell you what to expect, as a great many causes could be involved here. Please let us know what your neuro says, and give us more info about your symptoms.

Good luck,
ess

Well, the doctor told me the radiologist said everything is normal and didn't mention the white spots.  I will check with a neuro sometime in the future but am not worried about it.
Thanks

As the others have said, we cannot comment on what the white spots may or may not be and I am sure that you are wanting to get your appointment over with on Friday.  All I can say is I hope that it goes Ok and come back and let us know what the neuro says, Make sure you get the radiographer's report or have sight of it.

best wishes

Best thing is not to worry until the radiologist gets their report in.
