I've gotten electrical shocks in different parts of my body - they say it's a form of paresthesia, caused by damaged nerves.  I would definitely go to the neurologist and get it checked out.

I have nerve compression around s1 and l5 and recently i started getting violent electric shocks to my stomach area which i go to curl when it happens as well as constant shocks plus pins and needles from my right leg all through my whole stomach area up to right side of chest.
This mainly happens when i lay down or try to sit and relax. Very painful and i will mention this to my doctor next week and my neurosurgeon next month and see what it is. Will post as soon as i know unless anyone has any idea what it could be apart from my disc compression?

Hello and welcome.

I haven't heard of this symptom before. Have you seen a doctor? I definitely think you should have this checked out.

Good luck to you.
