UPDATE, FINALLY AN ANSWER

I FINALLY HEARD FROM MY NEURO-OPTHO OVER THE PHONE MY RESULTS OF MY TESTS FROM JAN. I HAVE DEFFINATE SIGNS OF OPTICAL NEUROPATHY, AND HE SUSPECTS SLOW MOVING, BENIGN MS AS THE CAUSE.
THE LINEING OF MY OPTIC NERVE IN BOTH EYES IS DISAPPEARING.

DOES THIS MEAN  I HAVE OPTICAL NEUROSIS? OR WILL? WHAT DO THEY DO FOR THIS? IS THERE A WAY TO STOP MY VISION LOSE?
NEXT, APPT. MAY 20TH, 2008

My goodness it's taken a long time to get back with you!!!!!  You were seen in January and now it is pratically May . . .

I hope to goodness that they do some follow-up testing to monitor you.  I'm worried that they have you pegged as "benign" and will continue to be lackadaisical with your treatment.  Your vision is one thing I would make one hundred and ten percent sure that they're on their toes with.

For one thing, MS is completely unpredictable.  You may have a slow moving case for a while and the disease will switch into supersonic mode.  You just never really can predict.

I am glad that you're getting some answers, but I have to be honest with you about my concern.

Take care, sweetie!

It's always nice when someone gets some answers, but I am sorry this is happening in your life.

Listen to Ess, she knows her stuff.  I hope from this point on you can keep moving in the right direction.

Please keep us posted!

Best wishes to you...

I'm glad you're getting some answers. At the same time I don't think that anything that is causing vision loss can possibly be called benign. Please don't leave it at that, but press for treatment. When do you see your regular neuro? Or is this person both?
