Hi...and thanks for your response. No I have not returned to my neuro b/c these symptoms just returned and I was hoping they would go away. I am seeing an opthamologist today...and yes that is what he will be looking for...optic neuritis. If the opthamologist says I do not have optic neuritis...then what? Are my chances of having MS lower? If I have MS, would I definitely have optic neuritis?
My husband thinks my symptoms are coming from going to the chiropractor. He say that 2 out of the 3 times my symptoms came on were when I was being adjusted...have you heard any cases of this?
All the symptoms I am experiencing are more annooying than anything...I could live with them if I had too. I'm just scared that they will get worse.
My Dad too had a lot of these symptoms in his early 30's but they went away eventually and he has never had a reoccurence.
This is just very frustrating not knowing what is going on. And my husband thinks I'm crazy for thinking it is MS...which is making the situation a bit more stressful.
Well thanks for your help. I hope I get some answers soon.
Greetings! Have you returned to see the neuro since five years ago when this first started? I would go back and ask to be reimaged on the MRI to check again.
What you describe sounds neurological to me, but I'm no expert or doctor. Be aware that there are other diseases and physical reasons (like spinal issues) that can cause these types of sensations as well.
Our health pages (yellow icon, upper right side of page) contain a wealth of information - take the time to read them and you will feel more prepared for your doctors.
When you see the opthamolgist, please mention the possibility of optic neuritis to the doctor so that a thorough exam is done.
I hope you will come through here often and spend some time with us while you work through this.
my best,
Lulu
