Yesteday was PT and still waiting for the oncology dept to call me to set-up an appt.
Today I have more skin biopsies.
I'm working Mon - Wed this week. And then I'm off Thurs & Fri for my partner's hysterectomy.
Sat is our MS Walk, but change of plans since I'll be home with my partner after her surgery. Do you think they'll move the MS Walk to a different weekend for us? ;-)
Not a hearing dog per say, but a service dog since I live alone.
First off I don't know if the VA would spring for the cost of one at least not until I have tried other options. See my post today "30 lashes with a wet noodle" for what I got going today.
Second I would have to find a dog that I wouldn't be allergic to and could function as a service dog.
And the third consideration would I be able to take care of a dog. Some days I can hardly take care of myself.
But thanks for the thoughts anyway.
Dennis
I'm going to see the neuro after lunch today. I finally figured out the Copaxone was causing severe headaches so haven't been on it for a week. The Shared Solutions nurse said that only happens in about 4% of the people who use it. We are going to talk about our new plan of action. Being headache free for the last week has been amazing!
Chris
Dennis you thought of getting a hearing dog?
I have the pain clinic this week. Also need to get up with other Doctors.
My husband is winning an award he does not know about from UNC tomorrow. I am trying to get everyone there.
Going riding. My dressage is going well. I cantered for the first time in 15 years. I lost a stirrup but stayed in the saddle.
Oh and I have some plumbing to fix. I fixed one thing over the week end. I am getting my confidence back to do things myself.

I have my regular insurance physical and pap on Thursday. I'm looking forward to talking to my regular doctor about this possible MS stuff with me. She was actually the one that ordered my MRI but, I had the appt with my neuro right after, and haven't talked to my regular doctor yet. I love her. She's so sweet and always gives me a hug when she sees me. That's about as exciting as my week gets this week. Hope everyone has a great week.
Hope the foot is better and healing at last.
Dennis
Every time you say you are babysitting I get jealous. I have two grandkids, but they are about 1500 miles from me so I don't get to babysit ever. :)
Dennis
Thanks for starting the thread, Dennis!
I have work, and more work, as well as babysitting, and a Tysabri Infusion on Thursday.
Rebif titration goes up from 8.8 mcg to 22 mcg this week and the next. Slowly working my way up to 44. (Baby steps and buckets of Advil!) Oh, and I think it's about time I got up off my *** and continued the job hunt...
My week includes 5 days at work, which I haven't done for a while, so keep your fingers crossed I can make it.
I return to the foot surgeon on Wednesday -I had a bit of a setback on Thursday and had to go in and they re-wrapped the foot with antibiotic clothes and gave me an rx for Keflex. I hope they both helped to quiet the inflammation and get back to healing. We'll see when they take the wraps off on Wednesday, but for now I am mummified up to my knee,
It is final exam week and we've been invited to a graduation party for a student who I hate to see leave - she was my personal trainer last year and a delightful young woman from the UK. She is also a soccer player and is personally responsible for DH and I becoming fans of football.
what's every one else up to this week? Happy May Day to our UK friends - I love how you still celebrate this occasion.
Monday-DH's birthday so a day of just relaxing in between eating out lunch and dinner (weird family tradition, don't ask, lol) Possibly PT.
Tuesday-definite PT for my newest injury a medial collateral ligament sprain. Received new splint on Friday, makes the knee feel great. And for the record, this one was not my fault but incurred by someone hitting my knee when flexed.
Wednesday-Just cleaning house,etc.
Thursday-echo-cardiogram after cardio appt. last week, where the doc wanted to "double-check" things
Friday - Attend my middle child's Exit Show of her Scientific Illustration class/major. I am so excited to go see all of her work but especially her Exit Showpiece which is a brochure on MS for those with no knowledge of the disease.
The weekend will be spent at my daughter's place so we can hang out and visit all the shops her college town has, eat at some great restaurants, and just chill. Can't wait!!!
I hope everyone has a great week and gets all the kinks straightened out, at least medically. :-)
hi Dennis
Will cross our fingers that the VA does a good job for you this week! I have a pacemaker check appt and a urology appt and then pack like mad to leave the following Monday for my Tysabri infusion and off for the summer to cooler climates. Perhaps will see some wildlife along the way to write you about later or in my backyard up north. Am into my cooling jacket already here, its in the high 80's and I'm miserable (no AC)
everyone have a good week and don't work too hard
