scary thing happened today

ok has anyone ever had this happen to them?
I was in the bathroom at a restaraunt when i was looking at the checkered floor and instantly my vision got weird from looking at it like the tiles blended together and it all looked fuzzy and, i got dizzy, nauseated and felt like I was gonna pass out. After the dizziness went away I ended up with the worst headache ever and its still here 8hrs later

it went away not long after i posted it. I was refreshed as well as i normally am when i  woke up. the problem is is that my vision is still kind of blurry and not right in my left eye.

Sounds like migraine to me too.  I had to stop seeing a doctor b/c his office had too many patterns.  Migraine can be with/without headache, involving the eye(s) or not - even if vision is the trigger.  It may or may not happen again.  Did you have to sleep and woke to find headache finally gone... maybe even exhausted after waking?

If you're concerned you can call to be sure but doc will have to see you to know for sure (I think).

If it happens again, and it is migraine, asprin (two or three depending on you and dosage) will really help.  Sleep in quiet, dark room is best.  I actually went blind (temp) in one eye and was told it was migraine.  It is very scary if you don't know what's going on.

Luck!

How long did the blurred vision last? I get a migraine with an aura at times.  Sounds very similiar to what u r describing.  Do u get migraine headaches?

I have had it to a certain extent; without the headache, but very dizzy from looking at patterns, etc.  I would def let your doc know about this as it could be an optic neuritis event.  I have a lingering headache behind my left eye that has been there for quite some time due to my optic neuritis.  The headache will get worse with challenging the eye, as yours did.

Please tell your doc, and note, note, note, the symptom and when it occurred in a journal (for all symptoms).  Hope you feel better!

the headache was behind one eye. the blurry vision i would say one too not really 100% on that as it scared the heck out of me.

Yes! I frequently have this problem with patterns in general. I'm not sure if it is my vestibular problem or my eyes.  But I have a history of optic neuritis as well as vestibular abnormalities. Patterns usually can make me dizzy, sick to stomach, and head ache.  I would let the doc know.  Good luck!
