It was explained to me that long term spasticity does and will increase muscle mass.  The constant spasms cause the muscles to feel tight and rigid, very much like it is when we exercise to tone our muscles.

Do you have pain in your calf?  I used to wear a TENS unit constantly on my back and hips when the spasms were out of control and wear pain patches unfortunately the two just wouldn't go deep enough for me and the hard muscle ridge I have along the length of my spine is still as hard as ever.

I meant right torso has more mass than the left, duh. These meds sometimes, hehe.

That is definitely the case, as my right arm is almost 2" in diameter bigger than my left. I have been forced to become left arm dominate since my spasticity began, so the enlarged right arm only makes sense do to spasticity. In fact, my whole right torso has more muscle mass than the right, which makes it almost impossible to find a comfortable shirt to wear, lol.

Sounds like it could be muscle wasting. I could be wrong but when you notice a smaller leg or arm it could be related to your mucsles. I am not sure if the spasticity would cause it but I am sure others will let you know.

Do you go to PT? If not then you should let your neuro know so that maybe they can set up so PT to try to help.

Good luck and keep us informed,
Paula
