As far as i know i am the only one in my immediate family that has it, my 3 year old niece is showing symptoms of it as well but it is hard to tell at the moment. I heard it was hereditary but neither my father nor mother has it, and as far as i know their relatives didn't either. I'm doing fine as of now with the mirror movements, it just gets a little frustrating doing some tasks such as heavy lifting with one hand while the other clenches into a fist. I'ts more embarrassing than anything. Thanks for the feedback, I hope to get checked out again soon by a doctor and see if all is well.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
Bimanual synkinesis can occur in Kallmann's syndrome. This is inherited as an autosomal recessive trait. The other characteristics of this disorder are hypogonadism and osteoporosis. Bimanual synkinesis can also be a familial occurrence.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
