Thank you I have never taken supplements or drugs. I do not have necrotizing type of myopathy but may have an inflammatory or autoimmune condition. My endo is to do a random cortisol once i have been on testosterone for six weeks.
Thank you for your advice
Hi!
Yes, chronic use of steroids can cause a decrease in testosterone level. However, if you have never abused or used them, then go over the food items, supplements etc which you use. Maybe one of them contains anabolic steroids. If this is also not the case, ask your doctor whether you have adrenal gland dysfunction.
Anabolic steroid abuse causes necrotizing myopathy which is also seen use of lipid lowering drugs, certain types of autoimmune disorders and in chronic inflammatory conditions.
Please discuss all these possibilities with your doctor. Take care!
