confusional states??

What began with unexplained tachycardia, palpitations, sweating, and numbness in my hands and feet brought me to the cardiologist and a complete work up, all normal. It progressed to episodes of confusional states that lasted only a couple of minutes. Generally this happened while walking or driving and is have no idea which way to go in familiar areas or find that I had made a several mile loop to return to a stop light I had passed without knowing how I got back there. The tingling  in the hands and feet began to alternate with pain that made it difficult to walk. I got tinnitus in one ear. Maybe related, I woke up with acute vertigo and double vision. During this time I was undergoing testing with neurology and with the exception of one EEG showing unspecific dysfunction of the left temporal lobe. MRIs were all normal. I was put on Klonopin as I was explained as an anticonvulant and told not to work (law enforcement job) or drive. A second 24 hr EEG was normal. The tingling stopped as did the episodes of difficulty to recall words (previously happened 3x per week). I then had an episode where I awoke in the morning with amnesia which lasted 10 minutes. The local neurologist said they could find nothing wrong and released me to return to work without restrictions. I was instructed to wean myself off the klonopin. I did and things went immediately back to the way they were with the difficulty speaking, confusion, tingling/pain, and then floaters in my vision and I woke up to pain in my jaw with three cracked teeth.
I went for a second opinion to Mayo Clinic and was told I had complex partial seizures/temporal lobe epilepsy. I had to go back a week later for another EEG and MRI. I was put on Keppra which worked for the tingling/pain and episodes of difficulty recalling words. I had one episode of confusion (i couldn't remember where I lived, no idea, for a couple of minutes). The nurse called today and told me that my tests at Mayo were normal and that there was no evidence of epilepsy. She said follow up with my PCP and cardiologist!!
Am I losing my mind? Now after 6 weeks I can't return to work without a doctor's release either.  Does anyone have any clue what it might be or where to go next?

I was light headed and would sometimes have tunnel vision when I stood up. I have had so many labs done that I don't recall specifically but one of the blood tests the cardiologist had done was for checking the gland function. The only thing that came back abnormal on blood work was a positive for antinuclear antibodies. That was followed with tests for lupus, lyme, HIV, and several other things which were all normal. The ANA positive was never explained.
