I saw a neurologist for dizziness, fatigue, paresthesia in extremities. I was ordered an MRI which showed small white spots in frontal cortex only without contrast. Blood tests showed ANA 1:640 and Anticariolipin IgM (+) 27. I have had joint pain in wrist, hands, and back as well as chest pain on inspiration for years. RA (-) as well as XRay's of joints/chest. No rash or fevers, the fatigue is unbearable.I just saw rheumatologist who dx me with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome. This doesn't seem to correlate with all my problems, I've never had a clot and no clotting problems found in my blood work. All he did was prescribe a baby ASA. Is that the usual coarse of treatment? Do I need a second opinion? Does either lupus or antiphospholipid show white spots on MRI's?
