Name That Test

I saw a new dr. today and was given a test where leads were attached to 4 or 5 different locations on my head. One of my eyes were covered at a time, and I was asked to look at a computer moniter that was filled with little squares that were constantly moving.Any ideas what this test maybe called?

Hello.

The test is called VEP (Visual Evoked Potential). You must have also seen a red dot in the mid line to focus on. The alternating squares produce the evoked potentials in the brain which are picked up by the electrodes.

This test is done to see the activity in the occipital lobe. What were your symptoms ?

Regards
