Pain Neck and Head

Have had a pain starting in May on right side of neck just below my ear going upwards in my head sore to the touch, have had a catscan and two xrays, nothing showed up, I have this everyday I notice cold pack helps, advil somewhat, I really dont know wha to do. I do some excercises once a week turn my neck somwhat. Its better when I am walking and standing, sitting hurts more. I had vertigo in May and inner ear problems, which I was treated for and went away  better from the inner ear problem, but this is a constant pain every day and every night, cannot sleep well on the right side, this is taking over my quality of Life slowly, do you have any answers?should I get an MRI even though nothing showed up on the catscan and xrays, might add not able to take lots of medication. Thanks for your help CB

go to ENT before it gets worse
Been going thru the same thing for 7 yrs. Now vesa vegal-
all sorts of other problems

This muscle you are trying to describe must be the scalene and the best way to threat it is with therapeutic massages... Constant head-forward posture and computer use may be the root cause. or an injury to this muscle but its probably a repetitive stree injury...
