My son had what we think was a seizure in December. The day started out as normal for him and he was taking exams at school, he started to get vague through one exam and then got worse, the school rang and when I got to the school my son had blue lips, rosy cheeks, he wasn't able to answer easy questions. We then got him to our local gp who said it was like he was on drugs and we should get him to a and e. They done blood tests and kept him in over night all the blood tests were good, and by about 11pm he was out of the episode altogether and was chatty and how he normally is.
The doctors decided it would be a good idea to do an Mri that morning and everything came back clear and we were allowed to go home.
Everything was going back to normal, but then 7 weeks later he had another episode we couldn't get him to hospital as we were snowed in so we just rode it out, the episode again lasted from about 11am to 11pm. And he has now had another episode, he had an eeg and there were some abnormalities but the Dr didn't go into depth about what the abnormalities were.
I am pulling my hair out not knowing why this would happen, and why they last so long as any time I have seen anything about seizures they only talk of them lasting a few minutes at the most.
