My son is 10 years old. We have been battling high numbers of DNASE B antibodies for several months now. His numbers are now at 1,230. He has been on antibiotics twice and they have no effect on him. Is there anything that can be done? And do I have every reason to be concerned?

Hello.
Anti DNAse-B is a test for detection of streptococcal throat infection. He should have less than 170 Todd units/mL of the levels. Since he has a positive test result, he is probably infected with the streptococcal antigens.
Gte him assessed for kidney functions to rule out Post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis.
