I had an MRI a few years ago which gave me the result in my question(Differential diagnosis for this nonspecific finding includes gliosis, demyelination, and ischemia?) as well as the following. "Numerous foci of white matter signal abnormality. unusual in extent for a patient of this age." My original doctor described it as having an old brain but did not tell me what it actually means. Should I be concerned and see a Neurologist again? Since then I have had surgery several times for Carpal and cubital tunnel, as well as C-4/5 and 5/6, fused. Do my original MRI results have anything to do with this?
