seizures?

Can your body have seizures with out picking it up on an EEG can other things in your body cause seizures. any help would be appreciated

Hello.

It is possible that the EEG may show certain slow waves which may be interpreted as being abnormal. It varies from time to time. The five day EEG monitoring is more reliable.

my other part of my question was can other diease or conditions cause seizures. Right nowwe have some doctors that did the first EEG on my wife saying they saw something and others that did the 5 day monitoring saying they didnt. we are just very confused and frustrated

Hello.

Yes, you can have seizures with a normal EEG. This is the inter-ictal EEG I am talking about. Inter-ictal means between two distinct episodes. But a normal EEG essentially rules out a seizure.

I could not understand the second part of your question. What other things?
