Found something growing on my shin... I'm mildly concerned

Hi All,
To give some background I broke my leg(s) pretty badly in 2013. The right one is shot and has muscle herniation, so I'll never play football (soccer) again, but that's not the concern, the left broke rather more cleanly, and had an intramedullary nail run between the fibula and tibia to hold it all together, the nail is still there as it's more of a pain to remove. Now, the fibula eventually healed, though with a decent sized callus on it where the bone fused back together. I'm pretty used to seeing this, but over the last couple of months, and we're over 4 and half years down the line now, a small and somewhat sharp lump has formed on top of it, almost like a little rounded pyramid. It's visible to the naked eye on my leg, even more so if I stretch the skin a little, though no larger than a pea. I'm worried as although it could just be my paranoia, but I'm sure it's got a little bigger over the last 4 weeks... Cause for concern? Or normal fracture-site weirdness?
