Thank you for your comments. I have not experienced the frozen shoulder and did not realize the pain would be gone with this experience. Interesting, but I guess that makes sense. Yes, I think you are lucky do be doing so well without going through all the risks that surgery brings. Physical therapy also seemed to make things worse for me making me wonder why the MD did not do the MRI before the PT. Good luck to you and I appreciate your comments.
I, too, had a full thickness tear to my left rotator cuff. While awaiting surgery I went to physical therapy so it wouldnt "freeze"...well it froze anyway so since I really didnt want surgery and the pain was gone I figured I would live with it frozen. Difficult to put a coat on, dry my back with a towel, etc. but pain was gone. Then, slowly over time...maybe nine months, it "thawed". Now feels pretty much okay. I can tell things are not totally right if I try to do to much "over head" stuff but other than that okay. Personally, I was really wary of the surgery because they told me I might need a second surgery as it could freeze...well duh! My rotator cuff was full thickness diagnosed by MRI so I guess so far I have been lucky. As far as the shoulder burning, I have no idea. Physical therapy seemed to make things worse for me...not to say that this might apply to you. Good luck.
