Carpal Tunnel Surgery

Hello,

I had my right hand C.P. surgery on May 21st.

I was just wondering (19 days post-op), should I be having alot of trouble: gripping/lifting (wrist), and numbness~Liken to freezing around the surgery site?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Elizabeth

I had carpal tunnel surgery in Oct. 07 and I still have some problems with pains shooting up my forearm.  I'm not telling you this to scare you, but it does take a long time to heal.  I had to go to PT to get my hand strength back.  I had scar tissue build up.

yes, possibly, it may take from several weeks to as long as a few months before you have unrestricted use of your hand and wrist. If your your surgery appears to be the alternative for relieving your symptoms , be sure to talk with your surgeon about it.
take care
