Help me find the best MD.

My 13 yr old has flat feet and had surgery on rt. foot last yr.  The problem is as bad as ever and I'm unhappy with her current doctor.  I've seen an orthoped who advised no more surgery until she's finished growing.  The poditrist (the one I don't trust) wants to do more surgery soon.  I need help finding the right doctor to help fix this.  I want to do the right thing for her.  I don't want her to go through another majory surgery if she should wait, but I wnat her to be able to play sports and not walk with pain and a limp.  It's really affecting her self-esteem.  I'd appreciate any advice.  I live in Northern Virginia if anyone knows a good doc to recommend.

Umm yea... I KNOW flat foot surgery is not easy.  She had surgery over a year ago and her foot is worse now than before.  It could have been an unecessary surgery as I was advised by another MD they would never do this surgery before a child has finished growing.  Why would you advise to have faith and trust in this MD.  You don't know him.  He could be a total quack for all you know.  Just because he's a doctor doesn't make him right.

Hello momzombie,

The surgery for flat feet is not relatively easy. One needs to learn with this and cope up best and try to adjust with the activities of daily living. Have faith and trust in the doctor. The results would be evident.
