How else can be done for a 14-year old to get full extension back?

She has followed all rehab protocols since day 1, yet she has never achieved full extension since before her sports injury.  She is 5 weeks out from her 3rd surgery, and already has extreme stiffness despite doing all of the extension exercises 3 times a day.  We have massaged the area daily, and continue to elevate and ice.  Her quality of life has been poor for the last 9 months since her initial surgery due to not seeing results after continued hard work.  What should we do????

You haven't said what part of her body she injured.  You haven't said what the surgery did -- leave in a pin, or staples, etc.  Not sure ice is still called for, but has she been sent to PT for rehab?  If so, she should still be seeing them, and they continually evaluate range of motion to see if things are progressing properly.  Don't know the state of PT in the the age of covid, though.  But without knowing what she injured, how badly she injured it, and what the surgeons left inside her, it's hard to know what she's dealing with.  Have you asked your surgeon what the timetable for full recovery is given the surgeon is the only one who saw inside of her and therefore the full extent of the damage and of the procedures that had to be performed?
