Is it really sciatica?

Out of no where I started feeling this intense pain that starts from between my hamstrings and my butt and sometimes goes down to my foot. It's been about 3 months and it hasn't got better. I've been taking anti inflammatory meds, it's works for a while but when the effect wears off the pain comes back.

I didn't have an accident, bruise or anything.

A doctor told me it's sciatica, but I am not sure.

Thanks for the reply Dr.
I'll see an orthopedician this week.

What I find strange is that I don't have any lower back pain. I used to exercise regularly, I am not overweighted.

Hello!

You have to go for lower lumbar spinal X-rays to diagnose sciatica.

Follow up with an orthopedician and go for lifestyle changes and avoid pressure on your lower back.

This can be caused by sitting for long hours, with no physical exercise and weight gain and also if you follow wrong ergonomics.

Maintain normal BMI and follow proper ergonomics.

Take care!
