Ligament problem after TKR

I had a right TKR in November of 2021. Pain started to subside by beginning of March and was able to walk unassisted and up and down stairs. Pain returned end of April...cannot walk more than 200', cannot stand more than 10 mins, cannot do stairs. Went back to surgeon...he did an xray and told me that my interior ligament "is loose". The 3 options he gave me were 1) go back to PT 2) redo surgery or 3) learn to live with it #2 is out...will not go thru that pain again. Went back to PT. Have had 6 visits with no improvement. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Man, sorry you haven't gotten an answer. I'd probably have chosen PT as the least invasion option but still not settling for less than perfect. But then I'd redo the surgery if I had to. I would hate to be stuck with those limitations. Why did the doctor say this happened?

This is a funky question and not meant to be insulting, but are you overweight? I do think it is odd that the ligament was immediately loose. It shouldn't be so quickly after surgery. It may happen over time if you are overweight or do high impact activity but so quickly? That sounds like potential surgical error. What about a second opinion just to ask about this?
I am going for a second opinion. I do no high impact activity..hell, I can barely walk! I am maybe 10 lbs overweight. It was not immediately loose...happened about 5 months post op.
