Reoccuring shoulder pain...cortisone shots not helpful

On April 1st my shoulder randomly began hurting.  I have played volleyball for approx. 12 years at high levels...so the doctors said that they think this may have caused something that I just tweeked that night.  I attended physical therapy for a little less than 2 months...and nothing helped.  They did an MRI but it came back pretty normal, no tears or anything.  The PT sent me to see an orthopedic dr.  Last Monday (8 days ago) I saw the dr.  He basically spent less than 5 minutes with me, pulled on my arms a little to check for joint laxivity, and said that was pretty normal too.  Then the dr. gave me a cortisone shot into the bursa, which he said would help.  The shot did nothing...instead of pain mostly in the front of the shoulder, it was mainly along the side and top...but still hurt all over.  Today (Tuesday) I went back to the orthopedic dr. to see how the shot went.  When he saw it did not help he spent less than 5 min. again pulling on my arms and percribed another cortisone shot (8 days after the last one).  This time he shot it into my shoulder joint.  It was ok, but hurt a little after the shot.  About 2 hours after the shot my shoulder hurts worse than ever!  It hurts in places it did not before. I am unable to raise my arm straight out or next to my arm without severe pain.  Now I also can't cross my arm over my chest. Is this pain normal?  I am going halfway across the contry in a week from today...so I kind of need to get this figured out!  What should I do to help this pain and what do you think is the problem?
Thanks!!

I was on extra strength vicoin, something for muscle spasms they said were going on in my shoulder, and an anti inflamitory medicine...but it did not help.  If I wasn't leaving for North Carolina in a week I would def. try another dr.  Do you have any suggestions as to what may be wrong in my shoulder?  Should I push for another MRI with dye this time or another scan?  Thanks you so much for your help!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
If the pain of injection does not subside in 24hrs then you have to worry and consult your treating Physician. You always have an option of visiting another Orthopaedician as you say you are not given proper attention. MRI is clean, now go for anti inflammatory drugs and conservative treatment under a proper Orthopaedician. Take care!
