Spinal fusion

Please can someone tell me exactly what the procedure entails and what the recovery period is together with any positive feedback gained from patients who have undergone this themselves.

Hello!

The goal of spinal fusion surgery is to provide relief from the pain you have been having and make your spine more stable.
A lumbar spinal fusion surgery may be recommended for various conditions, including disc herniation, lumbar spondylolisthesis, scoliosis and most of the problems are chronic and which are not responding to any therapy.
Fusing means two bones are permanently placed together so there is no longer movement between them. Spinal fusion is usually done along with other surgical procedures of the spine.

I would suggest you to discuss your case in detail as every case is different and unique and based on that your orthopedician will give the best advice.

Take care!
