Tae Kwando for girl with titanium rod in femur

My daughter is 25 now, and 5 years ago she broke her femur and had a titanium rod put in her leg.  She's doing fine, and now she's taking tae kwando classes.  She is not sure, however, if she should push herself to do kicks, etc., or to be careful not to put too much strain on her hip.  She's not sure if she can increase her flexibility by pushing herself, or if she could do herself harm.  How can she tell what could be helpful as opposed to what might to damage?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello!

With proper healing her femur will be fine but it should not be stretched for 100% functionality like a normal thigh.

Let her do Taekwondo but tell her to avoid intense kicks and those free turning rotating movements. Take a second opinion near her orthopedic surgeon.

Take care!
