Talus Fracture Recovery

Im am currently in week 29, from a Hawkins type 3 Talus fracture, ORIF, in walking boot now with cane, two weeks into Physio. So far physio seems to be going well, ROM is improving and building back calf muscle and upper leg also. I am concerned about Talus Collapse and have been told this could happen during the recovery resulting in AVN. The doctor did diagnose a hawkins sign at week 7-8. If a talus collapse was to occur, without an x-ray, what signs should i be watching for? I dont see my Ortho until February for next consult and x-ray, but want to be aware of any signs or symptoms of a talus collapse while i am undergoing physio.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Hello Donna, sorry i just saw your comment now. Talus fracture is healing well. in week 22 of Physio, i am still using a cane for support. Last appointment in february with the ortho surgeon was good, the bone is revascularizing well, still not out of the woods yet. Range of motion is coming, planter flexion is good, but having trouble getting dorsi back, few more months to go. Physio seems optomistic that it will come back to somewhat normal.
