Ulnar nerve

Pain in ulnar side of my wrist for months that progressively got worse. Burning sensation every now and then all the way to the elbow and up to the pinky. Had x-rays done then sent to ortho. He said it’s tendinitis and to do these exercises and ice for 14 days. Pain got worse after 14 days so he re evaluated. I have slight swelling at the elbow but no pain. All of the pain is in my wrist and goes up the side of my hand to my pinky. He said probably ulnar nerve problem and sent for EMG however they can’t get me in for 4 months. What do I do until then? Is there something else they could be doing?
