The pain is just under and in front of the bone protrusion on the inside of my leg like right in the joint. The original injury my fot rolled up on the inside of my leg resulting in the Talus fracture. The pain has been pretty much there ever since the injury It just has different degrees of intensity. Most of the time it fells pretty good. But there are the times when my foot is twisted on my leg it hurts or when I'm out in the cold a long time or Have shoes or boots on that presses on that area It's tender! No clicking or catching in the joint. Yes I'm able to walk fine. At times the joint feels weak if I have been on my feet a long time but rarely. If it really flairs up I take some Motrin. There is no swelling now but whil I was casted it was quite intense at times.
Hi,
When any patient complains of “ankle pain,” the initial differential diagnosis includes the following three common etiologies:
1. Ligament injury.
2. Achilles tendonitis.
3. Ankle fracture.
In your case I feel either it could be ligament injury or soft tissue injury.
Before we try to see what could be wrong with you I would like to ask you some question.
Where is the pain exactly if you have to point out with an index finger?
When did the pain actually begin and what were you doing at the time?
Do you experience any locking or catching or giving away in your ankle?
Have you ever had surgery on your ankle? What is the quality of your ankle pain (sharp, shooting, dull, aching, and burning)?
Is there anything that you have done for your ankle that has helped the pain? Are you able to bear weight on your ankle?
Keep me informed.
Bye.
