I received an MRI for my right shoulder 04/11/11.will I need surgery to correct this problem?
I have a intrasubstance partial thickness tear of the distal supraspinatus which is approximately 3mm transverse and in thickness 6 millimeters anteroposterior.

I have the same thing but I also have a bone spur that is rubbing on it so I have to have surgery. Good luck.
