4 weeks ago I was tackled and fell straight onto my back on cement and after a few days of intense pain, decided to get an xray. Turns out it's a displaced sacral fracture. I feel I should have gotten more than a week of work and I had to beg for even that. And when they made me come back to my sit down job, they let me work at a stand up desk so I've been standing for 8 hours a day for the past 2 weeks now and then tomorrow my restriction is up and I'm supposed to go back to the sit down desk. I am still in so much pain...standing is killing me and I feel it's causing so much low back pain and sitting hurts just from the fracture alone. Monday while I was at work, standing, I was getting shooting pains right to the spot of the fracture and it was making me light-headed. I messaged the doctor and she said try a different anti-inflammatory and start PT, neither of which seem ideal for me at this time. I'm at a loss of what to do. The pain medication helps a bit but I can't take that at work. Some people say it shouldn't still be hurting but I don't know how they can tell me how it should be feeling. It still hurts. Sometimes a very lot. Really laying on my side is the only thing that eases the pain. I've thought about going to an orthopedic doctor but don't know if that's the right move?
