Hello!
Sprengel's deformity is a congenital/developmental elevation of the scapula, due to failure of descent of the scapula to its normal thoracic position during fetal life. What type of corrective surgery was performed? Was the post operative period eventful?
Check for the latest X-ray and if you do not have any bone issues then it may not be connected with your Sprengel's operation or deformity which was corrected before 40 years.
Consult a neurologist as this may be a migraine if it occurs continuously.
Take care!
Hi, I have sprengel deformity too. I feel really uncomfortable being in public. I wish that I could have surgery to fix my shoulder. Can you tell me who did the surgery for you and where did you have it done? Your answer might be helpful. Thank you.
I have a very mild form of Sprengel Deformity. It has never given me any problems. My only issue is my very slightly higher shoulder than the other and slightly limited ROM with my right arm. My sprengels has never really been an issue to me due to it being such a mild case. In fact, sometimes I forget I have it. For a couplle of years now I have been getting recurring headaches in the same spot. My right side of my lower skull. Right behind and under my ear. It has worried me before but I never thought about it being due to my sprengles! I have never had surgery or any kind of treatment for the sprengels and really didn't know too much about it until recently. When I read your post it explained exactly what I am experiencing!! What a break-through!
