Hi all I'm new to this. last year during a routine check up for another chronic illness my doctor found what he said was a lump on my right lower side. I could not feel anything but he was not happy and said he wanted me to go for an ultrasound. I got the letter for my appointment for 6 months later, which was fine as i though nothing of it. My appointment came it was suppose to be just a pelvic ultrasound but she said she waned to do a vaginal one also, this is when i started to get nervous. She said it was for a better view of my ovary's as she thought they were too close. After it was done she said no more just to wait for a letter. Two weeks later i got an appointment letter to see a gynecologist specialist. This is when the nerves really kicked in. I waited impatiently for the appointment to arrive. Eventually I went and was told that i had a massive cyst 19cm on my right ovary. The specialist could hardly believe the size of it and for me to have no pain. She said I would need keyhole surgery to remove it, which naturally i almost passed out. She wasn't happy that i had no pain and then said she was unsure it was on my ovary as i should have been in agony. I was to go for a MRI to locate the exact whereabouts of the cyst before surgery. I had the MRI and was suppose to see the specialist two weeks later but my appointment was changed until August. My question is has anyone had any experience with big cyst and having them removed. I was told i was a priory because of the size but since im waiting so long between appointments i guess I'm not. I feel like at any time it could burst and can barely sleep with worry. All I'm dong is overeating to help with the nerves which in return is making me stress more as I am already over weight. Sorry its really long, i hope it makes some sense to someone.
