CANCER AND HUNGRY A LOT

I was diagnosed with clear cell ovarian in 1998 and have been fine since.  About 1 year prior to diagnosis I lost about 10 pounds.  Right after the surgery the weight came back within 3 months.  This was good because I'm tiny and very skinny and needed to have gained the weight.  Yet, within that year I dropped back to the low weight.  I am hungry ALL the time - I eat and eat and seems the more I eat the thinner I get - ever since 1998.  Does anyone else have this problem in relation to cancer?

Hi, I second the thyroid suspect. Your thyroid seems to be in an overdrive mode. Thyroid does have a close connection with our reproductive system and it also regulates our metabolism.

All the best !!

Hi ,
I too am a clear cell survivor , firstly its great to hear that you are doing so well !!  . I was thinking , have you had your thyroid checked out? if you are hungry all the time , eat a lot and lose weight these are some of the typical symptoms of an overactive thyroid .A blood test can detect thyroid problems .
Good luck and best wishes Angie

I'm sorry this is a problem for you, but if you'd be willing to share it, I'd be more than happy to take it from you.  As you can see by my picture, I'm not in any danger of being blown over by a breeze.
