Ashley's last scan

Hi everybody,

I haven't posted much lately.  With Ashley's past good news, I figured I would not take up your time that others need so much.  I'm also recovering from eye surgery for a detached retina.  First off, some good news (I think).  Two days ago, Ashley passed her road test and earned her driving license.  YIKES!!!  Anyhow, Ashley had her scan yesterday.  Her first one at the new six month interval.  Well...it could have gone better than it did.  Unfortunately, the scan turned up a lesion on her liver that has never showed up in all the scans in the past.  They are concerned and will bring her back in for a liver scan in three months.  Bad news for Ashley...and the waiting and worrying starts again for all of us.  Sorry for the bad news...I wish I was reporting good news but thought I would post her update for those wondering how things are going for her.  It saddens me to see many of those I have come to know suffering and battling so hard.  I pray for all of you for better days ahead.  I will post her update after her liver scan.

Take Care and God Bless,
Bob

Bob,
I am sorry that Ashley's scan was not better, but hopefully it will turn out to be nothing.
So are you doing alright from your surgery?
And way to go Ashley for getting your drivers license!!!!!!
   Love Chris

I will keep Ashley in prayer..sometimes those areas will go away on their own.  About a year ago they saw nodules on my lungs and since they had never seen them before they waited another 3 months and then did another scan..they were gone..so lets hope this is the case with Ashley~~~Joanne

I am sending positive thoughts from here in sunny Costa Rica that it is nothing but a bengin mark on her liver.  Coping with a driving teenager is quite a feat.. Good luck on that and I wil be praying that Ashley is just fine... Ronni

I was just talking about you and Ashley this evening.  An 18 year old came to our group this evening.  She is in the middle of treatment for what I was told was "a rare form of OvCa that effect adolenscents"...I did not want to push further at the moment

I am sorry to hear about the leison..let's hope that whatever it is, it is a benign condition.

Good for Ashley - congratulate her on passing her road test.

My best to you both...and please let us know how it goes....and you are never taking  up anyones time or space by posting updates on Ashley.  We all care.

Pam

Hi Bob...thanks so much for the update on Ashley...I think of her often as I'm sure many others here do! I'm sorry to hear about the lesion on her liver...it sounds like her doctor's are being careful about her though, which is a good thing. Hopefully, her liver scan will show it's nothing to worry about. I had that happen once...they found a suspicious area on my liver so they sent me for an ultra sound and they couldn't find it. I will be anxious to hear back about her scan when you get the results...
Oh my....her driver's liscence - GOOD LUCK! Just trust that she's a responsible young lady...I know she'll be a great driver!
Take care,
Becky

It is good to hear from you. I'm with the other folks - waiting is so difficult. Is it possible the spot on the liver is some scar tissue or other benign thing? I don't know. Like I said, waiting and not knowing for sure is rough. It's great that she got her license. That's a big step for a young person. Sorry to hear about your eye too. How is your vision now?

Thinking of you all. .  . Irene

Also, please give Ashley a big "Congrats!" on getting her drivers license. :)

God Bless,
Glenda

Its good hearing from ya. Thanks for the update on Ashley. I was just thinking of her the other day, when a 15 year old posted. I'm sorry to hear the news, but she'll be in my prayers that its just a cyst or scar tissue.

Having a teenage driver in the house can be useful too. My mom use to send me grocery shopping, because I'd get what was on the list and nothing else. Because of course if you get something else not on the list. (They won't let ya borrow the car.)

Take Care, My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Paula

I am sorry something showed  up but as equipment gets better things turn up.  I hope you are comfortable with the three month wait.  For most of us time is not on our side.  Please give her a hug for me.
