Good to see your hubby is doing well .. or better, anyway. One tiny piece of advice I was given along with holding cold packs, eating ice chips, chilling the feet ... from the chemo nurses at work ... was to wear very loose clothes .. no bra, loooooose undies (elastic), etc. for about 48 hrs during and post tx. She also said to NOT talk on the phone (pressure from holding the phone) and literally said to relax and take it easy for at least 48 hours. I ended up not going on doxil, but remember what she said. Think of you often .. Judy
Hi,
So pleased you both are feeling somewhat better.. Hope it continues !
Love,
Sandy
Yes, I meant Doxil. I guess in my mind it should be closer to "toxin." LOL

Teresa,
I am glad that the both of you are doing better and I hope that they get the pain taken care of for you soon.
Did you mean doxil? I was on it for several months and it wasn't too bad, the biggest problem is hand-foot syndrome which seems to affect a lot of people. Just be sure to follow all instructions they give you on the do's and don't's in the days after your treatment. I have sent some papres to Jan that I recieved about it when I was on it. Maybe she will copy them and send them to you.
Love Chris

If this is me, here I am for a few minutes. I continue to fight constant pain in my abdomen. I am thinking it is spasms from my colon. I can't come up with anything else. I await Doxin chemo treatments that will now begin the 11th of Nov. They changed it so I could have the required MUGA sp? tests on my heart.
Can anyone tell me what to expect from Doxin? From what I read, it doesn't look like fun.
My husband is doing well enough to go vote today. He is remarkable. I sit around all puny, while he keeps on improving. I'm happy for him, but wish I had some of his strength and willpower.
Thank you for caring.
Teresa
