Grieving Spouse who died of cancer

My sister in law lost her husband to cancer about a year ago this may.  She is having a really hard time dealing with this.  I go with her to a support group that is like her but they are not helping her.  I think if she could go online and find a forum like this she could do this in the privacy of her home. I bought her a book so she could write down her feeling- like a journal.  I am running out of ways to help her.  I was with her when he passed.
Thank you
Penny

Thank you. I did some googling and found some sites for her to go on. I think they will help her to find comfort in these forums. And she may feel that she is not alone and that there is other people going through the same thing that she is feeling. I know from experience that this forum has help alot. I can only be there for her with hugs and tears. She needs someone who can relate and understand what she is feeling.  Penny

I feel like I just cant help her, I am running out things.  I joined the support group with her and she doesnt talk. I really think she would do better in a setting like this. I have learned alot about the grief process so I can understand what she is feeling. Maybe if I google I can find something for her for the time being. Thank you.

I think that you are right to suggest a forum-like grief support group.  I know that I feel more able to let out my felings here than I do at my local ovca support group.  There I always act more okay than I really am.  Here I usually tell more of my fears and worries.  You are a good sister.  Marie
