Oh Ronnie, I am so sorry.  I have all the birthday's on my calendar, but have not even looked at it.  I let other things get in the way.
I hope your party is wonderful.  It sounds like it couldn't be anything but out of this world fabulous.  I am so thrilled that your husband, the non romantic, is thinking to do this for you.  Everyone deserves to feel overwhelmingly loved & a grand gesture now and than certainly achieves that.

Thank you for your good wishes... On Friday night my husband is having a catered birthday party for me..What makes this so unusual is that I think in all the years we have been married I have gotten 2 cards.. He is just not the romantic type.. He doesn't remember his own birthday..But this is a man who never left my side during chemo, I had to chase him out of my hospital room (no chemo rooms here) to get coffee.. this is a man who my oncologist says unlike anything she has ever seen.. someone who loves and cares so deepy... so this party is extra special..

. The name of the restaurant is La Carretta... and we will be having bocas ( appetizers) sit down dinner with chicken provencal, filet de Costa Rica, platanos, rice, beans, waldorf salad and regular salad,, of course tres leches for dessert and a huge birthday cake....There will be a Mariachi band from 7 to 9 pm and then a disc jockey with karoake for your dancing enjoyment... oh and the bar is open for your drinking pleasure...

17 months ago diagnosed with stage IV I never thought I would see another birthday again.. I was uneducated and having found this forum learned to see that I would have another birthday... I am grateful to all my friends that helped me in the beginnning when I could barely pronounce chemo therapy or debulking.. I hope I have given back 1/2 as much as you guys gave me.. Oh and BARB please dress in comfort as you know this is Costa Rica...
