Hi everyone. I haven't been on the boards for a while because I was trying to digest everything that has happened since my hysterectomy.
On Feb 5, one week after the operation, I went to the surgeon so he could remove the staples. He also had the path report (which I didn't know at the time).
Well, the tumor is/was LMP/borderline, which is what he thought after the results came back during the operation. They gyn oc had taken a lot of samples, and no tumor was seen anywhere (lymph nodes, uterus, cervis, fallopian tubes, left ovary, diaphrahm, sigmoid, etc.) EXCEPT some LMP cells showed up in the peritoneal washing.
I think this makes me stage 1C but the results were given to me by the surgeon and he wasn't sure. I am waiting for an appointment with the gyn oc.
THEN, I went home, very confused to tell the truth, and my incision opened a few hours later. So it was back to the hospital in an ambulance and I'm now dealing with an open wound and have visiting nurses every day (not fun). I thought I was in a sequel to Alien LOL! Has this happened to anyone else?
So, I'm trying to be hopeful, knowing that I will need some chemo treatments,
After a few days of being very depressed, I am feeling somewhat better today. The weather is nice and I just watched Gigi on TV, and I'm doing laundry. Whoo hoo!
Thanks for everyone's support. Any info I can get at this point would be gratefully appreciated.
